Don't Deny The Resurrection
The Sadducees were a group that constantly opposed Jesus. They were more concerned with political power and financial success. They also denied the after-life/ resurrection of the dead. This is an eternal mistake.
In the context of Matthew 22 Jesus gives the great commandment and most people mistakenly assume that this is a command that they are able to fulfill. They are not.
34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:34-40
The Saduccees here in context are constantly trying to disprove the resurrection and trap Jesus with “gotcha” style questions. They of course fail and in the next chapter Jesus unloads 7 woe statements toward them. Woe meaning damned. They were lost because the rejected the Messiah. The rejected the after-life, they rejected the savior, The God-man Jesus Christ.
